I once had a client tell me that my thank you gift was “one of the most magnificent and spot-on gifts received in her adult life.” Whoa, talk about a compliment! Gift giving is no doubt an art form. I am a believer that client thank you gifts are worthwhile. It has the ability to leave a lasting impression, and can go a long way in attracting repeat clients and quality referrals.
There are two ways to curate gifts, 1. DIY which is what I do or 2. hire a company like Simone LeBlanc or Wish & Pink to do it for you. If you feel like you have a good read on your client’s preferences, I would suggest curating it yourself. If time however is limited or you don’t think you can source stylish gifts, leave it in the capability hands of Simone LeBlanc or Wish & Pink.
The thoughtfulness of a gift can really help to elevate your relationships with clients. If you are making the gift box yourself, here is a list of things you may want to include: teas, soaps, candy, bath salts, lotions, nuts, cookies, candles, chocolate bars, mugs, coffee, fresh blooms, jam, etc.) The possibilities are endless! I have even seen themed gift boxes, like travel, relaxation or a cocktail making kit. The key to an amazing gift is the thought behind it.
If you aren’t already sending out client gifts, I encourage you to see if its something you can add. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture, the scale is up to you. Have fun with it and let me know how it goes!
